The first few sections of this book are going to cover some very controversial and religious material that maybe offensive to some. I write this book with the out-most respect for all people of this world and do not look down upon you, or your belief system. To sum up quickly what you will be reading: The first few sections of this book will be based on the King James Version of the Holy Bible. The topics will be written about by section and will include the following.
Section 1: Ghosts
Section 2: Aliens and the UFO Phenomena
Section 3: The New Age Movement
Section 4: Homosexuality
Section 5: The Near Death Experience
Section 6: Signs that the end is near
Within these sections I will not only share personal stories, but I will also talk about how each of these topics are all going to be part of Satan’s Great Deception. I do not expect all of you to agree with what I present in this book. I only ask that you read it with an open mind.
Upon reading the sections listed above I will then present you with a fiction story written by myself that will present to you all of the six topics listed above in a story form. Though the story will be the work of fiction, note that I only label it as fiction because it has not happened yet. The fiction story will be a story that will foreshadow what I truly feel is going to take place. For more information please visit the website listed below.

For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.- Ecclesiastes 9:5 KJV
Section One
Ghosts
Before beginning this first chapter I wanted to cite a passage from the KJV of the Holy Bible. Take a moment and read again the passage. Those words are so much more powerful than one may know. In all honesty living in today’s world I believe those words may present one of God’s most important messages documented in the KJV of the Holy Bible. As you read on I am sure you will understand why. Before going any further into this chapter I will now cite some more from the book of Ecclesiastes.
9:1 For all this I considered in my heart even to declare all this, that the righteous, and the wise, and their works, are in the hand of God: no man knoweth either love or hatred by all that is before them.- Ecclesiastes 9:1 KJV
9:2 All things come alike to all: there is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean, and to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth, and to him that sacrificeth not: as is the good, so is the sinner; and he that sweareth, as he that feareth an oath.- Ecclesiastes 9:2 KJV
9:3 This is an evil among all things that are done under the sun, that there is one event unto all: yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead.- Ecclesiastes 9:3 KJV
9:4 For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.- Ecclesiastes 9:4 KJV
9:5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.- Ecclesiastes 9:5 KJV
9:6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.- Ecclesiastes 9:6 KJV
9:7 Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works. – Ecclesiastes 9:7 KJV
9:8 Let thy garments be always white; and let thy head lack no ointment.- Ecclesiastes 9:8 KJV
9:9 Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun.- Ecclesiastes 9:9 KJV
9:10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.- Ecclesiastes 9:10 KJV
9:11 I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.- Ecclesiastes 9:11 KJV
I suppose my fascination with the paranormal began back when I was a young boy growing up. I was always watching Scooby Doo on TV. How could one not be into the paranormal when watching Scooby Doo Right? Not only that, but I always felt drawn towards the subjects of Ghosts, Demons, and other various paranormal activities. I remember my mother sending me to bed when ‘Friday the 13th’ would come on TV. I would sneak out of my bed creep down the short hallway to where I could peak around to get a quick glimpse of the Hockey-Masked-Maniac killing his next victim. My parents would scream at me, “Shawn go back to bed!”. Even having listened to them I would lay in bed and listen to the sounds of young girls screaming as they would come across another victim, or be confronted by Jason himself.
I also recall at the young age of five my mom and dad had actually let me sit down and watch the movie ‘The Exorcist’. I will never forget the sight of the possessed girl Regan spinning her head around 360 degrees and seeing the look on her face. I would lay awake many a nights waiting for Regan to come into my bedroom while spinning her head around. I even remember having a nightmare of walking into a bedroom and seeing her on the bed looking at me with her face facing me while her chest faced the other direction. The door locked behind me and I was stuck there with the monster unable to escape! She would hiss and snarl at me while slowly advancing towards me before I would awaken gasping for breath while trying to slow my heart rate down.
By the age of nine I had moved to a house I now refer to as, ‘The Green House’. A house that would seriously scar me for life. It was sad from the start to tell you the truth. The whole process of moving into this house. With our previous landlord forcing us to move out because he wanted an older couple to move into the house we learned that the new house we were moving into did not allow dogs. At that time we owned a black Lab. His name was Blacky. Sadly we had to give up the young dog, a dog in which was just coming into his own. He was only about two years old when we had to get rid of him. It was a summer afternoon and my mother had left for work. This was a day I knew was coming but did not understand the reality of it until it had become present-day. It was my dad, my sister, myself and our dog Blacky. We were driving him to the humane society. His head was sticking out the car window as his tongue blew in the wind. The poor dog had no idea what was to come of him, nor did myself and my sister have any idea of how tough the situation was going to be. When we arrived at the shelter for dogs Blacky immediately sensed that something was not right. You could see the look on my dads face trying to be strong. Being so young I had no idea that a grown man could have the same emotion as a kid. My dad held his emotions in though, but you could tell this was one day he dreaded would come. A nice lady came out with a leash and collar and put it around Blacky’s neck. I remember her telling him that it was going to be ok. The poor dog looked around as if trapped in a world of confusion. Slowly she began taking him back to where the sounds of other dogs barking could be heard. I remember starting to cry as my dog whined for us looking us dead in the eye. He refused to comply with the nice lady and held his ground by dragging his feet on the cold cement floor. My dad turned us around. “Come on kids lets go.”
Getting back to the house I had just moved into now, the Green House. When we were first shown the house the owner walked us through it and explained that it had been empty for seven years prior to us moving in. There was a heavy feeling to the structure, something very hard to explain. One thing in the house that always and still does stand out to me is the fake fireplace that it has inside it. An electronic log that would spin in circles while orange lights built inside it would give off the illusion that there was a fire and that the log was actually lit. There was also a cracking sound that would play during this process even bettering the effect of the fireplace being authentic. Another thing that stood out to me was downstairs in the basement there was a washer and dryer. The dryer was so old that it did not use heat to dry your clothing. Instead it used a mechanic that would just squeeze the water right out of your clothes. Even now I am astounded to how dry the clothes would be by just squeezing out the water. Another thing that struck I think all of us was that the previous owner had left all of his tools downstairs in the basement. There were a ton of them, all sorts of tools. The owner whom was showing the house to us we later found out by her that her ex-husband had died of cancer. It has never become known to us if he had died in the house or at a hospital. The house was built into a duplex and eventually into a triplex. Even though the house was eventually divided into three housing units it was still a very large living space we had. There was a medium sized kitchen, a large living room, three large bedrooms, a medium bathroom, and two floors not including the basement which each resident would share.
The first night we had actually moved in I remember things were still packed and my dad was working nights so it was just my mother, sister and myself. I remember waking up in the middle of the night. It was storming really bad outside. I was actually sleeping in my sister’s room while my mother was asleep downstairs. I had laid out blankets on the floor to make my bed while my sister had the luxuries of sleeping in a queen-sized bed just above me. Upon awakening I remember hearing the rain beating down hard on the roof. Now and then a strong gust of wind would push the rain hard against one of the three windows that were in the room. I do not know if the storm was getting inside my head but I could feel as if something was watching me. The feeling was so strong that I was actually afraid to move. I remember thinking to myself that if I just pretended to be asleep whatever it was that was watching me would think that I really was sleeping and I would be ok. That was not the case though, it knew I was awake and this night it would make darn sure that I knew it was there. I began to hear strange sounds about the room and even elsewhere in the house. I saw nothing and pretended to hear nothing. The pretend game did not last long though. With my heart pounding in my chest and mind racing out of control thinking that something was going to emerge from out of the shadows and get me I could no longer take it! I quickly sat up, grabbed a small portion of my bedding and ran downstairs to where my mother was asleep on the couch. I remember positioning myself directly below the couch where my mom was sleeping and listening to the storm. After a while my heart began to slow and the storm had moved on. There was a dead silence engulfing the house. I could feel my eyes growing heavier by the second as I was starting to relax. All of that suddenly changed when I heard what sounded to me to be a piece of small wood hitting off the wall. My heart sank and began to quicken when I heard it again. Something was just above the couch and it wanted me to know it was there. Again and again I heard the sounds of small wooden objects bouncing off the walls. After a while I feel that the entity was growing impatient with me as I was pretending to sleep. It began ripping up sheets of paper, and then smashing empty pop cans. Don’t ask me how, but after a long while I had managed to fall asleep.
The next day when I woke up I had never felt so relived to see the bright sun shining through the windows. I remember walking out into the kitchen where I had heard the sounds coming from. I will never forget the sight. There were pop cans on the floor smashed, pencils were all over the floor and sheets of notebook paper had been torn up all over the floor. Many other things have happened in that house, some of which I may share with you. But I want to get back to the point of this book. Why I am writing it. Again read this bible passage.
9:5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.- Ecclesiastes 9:5 KJV
The living know that they will die it states, but the dead know not anything. This is very important. If the dead know not anything, then they could not be aware of me being afraid pretending to be asleep. They could not be aware of the fear that was going through me. I want to again cite a passage that I had already done so earlier. I know this maybe repetitive but please bear with me here.
9:6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.- Ecclesiastes 9:6 KJV
Their love and their hatred and their envy is now perished. If this is true then whatever entity was that was trying to scare me would not be anything other than a demon. Also, they can longer partake in anything that is done under the sun. This message is quite clear; when you die you are unable to do anything here on Earth. So let me break this down for you. When we die, according to the bible we are aware of nothing. We no longer love, we no longer hate and we can no longer partake in anything on planet Earth. Assume for a moment that the bible is true, which I believe it is. Then if someone were to die, let’s use the previous owner of this house for an example. When he died, according to the bible he is aware of nothing, and he is no longer able to partake in anything that is done here on Earth. Where does that leave us? If he is unable to interact with us here on Earth, and he is aware of nothing at all, then it leads me to one thing.
The LORD said to Satan, "Where have you come from?" Satan answered the LORD, "From roaming through the earth and going back and forth in it."- Job 1:7 KJV Holy Bible
Looking at this bible verse you can clearly understand that Satan is roaming the Earth and that he can travel back and forth between heaven and Earth.
Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.-Peter 5:8 KJV Holy Bible
As the previous bible verse brought to our attention that Satan can travel back and forth between the Earth and Heaven. This bible verse warns of Satan’s insidious intent. He wants to devour us.
Then the man standing among the myrtle trees explained, "They are the ones the LORD has sent to go throughout the earth." -Zechariah 1:10 KJV Holy Bible
In this bible passage above is Zechariah talking about the demons currently roaming the Earth?
Behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets."- 1 Kings 22:23 KJV Holy Bible
I will leave the bible passages alone for now, but can you see the picture being painted here? I am not going to sit here and tell you that everything you are reading in the bible is true. I will tell you this though; that I believe everything in the bible is true. This is an optional path that I have chosen to follow. Could I be wrong for following the bible the way I do? Yes. Do I believe I am wrong following the bible the way I do? No.
Guys and girls I truly feel that we as a world society are truly heading down a dark path. You cannot pick up the TV remote these days and turn on the TV without coming across some Paranormal Ghost Show. A few examples would be, ‘Ghost Hunters’, ‘Ghost Adventures’, ‘Paranormal State’, ‘A Haunting’, and so on. Just ten years ago if I were to mention the Electronic Voice Phenomena, also known as EVP for short, chances are you probably would not have understood what it meant. For those of you who do not understand what EVP is, it is where you take a digital tape recorder, or any tape recorder at that, it can even be on video recorder. It is when you ask questions out loud and though you may not hear anything with your ears, when you rewind the tape many a times you will get intelligent responses. I will give an example. Back in 2009 I filmed ‘The Legends of Gretchen’s Lock’ DVD. It was a documentary that documented the local Ghost legends at a local park just north of East Liverpool Ohio at Beaver Creek State Park. I knew the legends, and one of the legends was about a lady named Esther Hale. Well I had my digital tape recorder and I asked Esther are you here? Though I did not hear anything with my ears, when I played back the tape I heard, “Yes!”
There have been many EVP’s that I have captured. The one that stands out to me the most was one that a close group of friends of mine and myself captured in West Virginia on Halloween night while inside a graveyard. A friend of mine was holding the recorder while we were inside the cemetery and we were about to leave and she said, “Is there anyone here, we are about to leave so now would be the time to speak.” At the time we just ended the recording session and walked the long walk through the graveyard back to her van. It was late, we were all tired and to be honest it had been a boring night for paranormal investigating, or so we thought. While inside the van we played back the tape. What we heard I will never forget. At the moment you hear the girl ask if there is anything you want to say, say it now”. You can hear as clear as day, “I am watching you.” I can’t explain in words the feelings that soared through my body the moment I heard that voice. Each of us in the van described feeling the same thing. It was pure utter evil and it was that moment my life began to change. It was that moment I started going in the right direction and finding God. Quickly I will describe the voice for all of you who are curious. It was a man’s voice; it was deep and sounded ancient. When I say ancient I do not mean old really, it was more like a wise voice. Someone who was aware of more than what we were. It also had an accent that I truly can’t describe
You see, people think this is cool. I used to think that it was until my life started going downhill. So many ghost hunting societies have developed since the show ‘Ghost Hunters’ first aired. The media is teaching us how to Ghost hunt. Schools are even teaching Parapsychology. I can think of a local Ghost Hunting group right now here in East Liverpool Ohio who does so much research in the world of the paranormal she has become lost in reality. This is her life now; this is what she wants to do. I see so many young teenagers joining up in her group. I see pictures of these young teens with their mothers and with the ghost hunting group smiling. Their mothers look very proud and excited when it should be the opposite. They should be concerned and wanting to get their children as far away from this kind of activity as possible. This is part of Satan’s deception. He wants to get you to believe that there is an afterlife when there is not, at least not on Earth. By him allowing you to photograph what we call ghosts, and what I call demons, he is planting that seed of doubt in your mind. You may ask yourself this after having recorded an EVP or have taken a photo of a ghost. “If the dead know nothing at all, then why am I able to record them? The bible must be wrong, or at least some of it is wrong.” This my friends is where the devil has got you. To make you believe what the bible goes against. Again this is all a biblical view, and I am not saying that I am 100% right. I am only saying that I have chosen to follow the bible, and what the bible Teaches is that the dead know nothing, Satan has free roam of the Earth, and that dead people cannot partake in anything again under the Sun.
Some people come up to me and say, “Shawn my mother died last week and I saw her last night. She smiled at me and told me how much she missed me. There was no fear at all Shawn. There is no way that was a demon Shawn!” This is where it is bitter sweet to me. It is bitter because The person telling me this story has not only been deceived but I am also about to take that comfort about her mother coming back to her away from her by telling her my opinion. They are sad because they lost a loved one, and they found comfort in what they had just experienced. They want to believe that the experience was real and it was. Only it was not her mother, it was a demon portraying to be her mother. Now it is also sweet to me telling her this because I know I am doing the Lord’s work and attempting to lead her on a path I feel is the right one. Guys and girls you can’t half-ass it here, and pardon my speech but you can’t. When it comes to Christianity, true Christianity, you are either all the way in or all the way out. There is no in between. You can’t just pick out the verses in the bible that appeal to you and follow them and expect a ticket to eternal life. It just does not work that way.
So getting to the conclusion of this section. The demon would have nothing to gain by showing up as just an evil spirit, something that you would be afraid of. It has everything to gain by coming at you in a diverse way. Meaning that if it comes to you as a loved one who has died, and then comes to you as a scary entity you are going to be led to believe that there are good ghosts, and then there are bad ghosts. Guys, this is not the case. This is all a part of Satan’s trickery. He wants you to believe that there are good ghosts and bad ghosts, when in reality there are no ghosts here, only demons. When you’re dead, you are no longer of this Earth.
And for all of you so called paranormal experts out there who teach that Ouija Boards are bad but doing a séance is ok. Explain to whom you teach what the difference is because there is none. Both ways are communicating with the dead (Demons). The same thing can be applied for performing EVP.
I am now going to share with you an article written by Rev Mark Hunnemann.
I hope you are doing well. A series of unprecedented demonic attacks has left me tremble--gripping white-knuckled to Jesus--as has the topic at hand--which I believe is the cause of these attacks. My goal is to bring every thought in subjection to Christ; particularly regarding all things paranormal. Perhaps no concept is more widely and confidently held in the paranormal community than that of a residual haunt. If you have read my book, then you will know that I gently, but firmly, beg to differ. I do not believe in the category known as residual, and in this letter I will explain some of what is at stake and a few other musings.
For the sake of those without prior knowledge, a residual haunt is a paranormal hypothesis which states that inanimate materials can absorb some form of energy from living beings, during moments of high tension ( eg traumatic death). This stored energy can be released, resulting in a display of the recorded activity. These" hauntings" are not intelligent but simply non-interactive recordings, similar to a movie or a tape recorder.
Thomas Lethbridge spoke of this phenomenon in "Ghost and Ghouls" in 1961. Earlier discussions of this theory date back to the late 19th century. The hypothesis was jump-started in the 1970's in the play "The Stone Tape". Currently, residual haunt, like verbal solicitation of EVP's, is held so firmly that its truth is seldom questioned, except by a few academics. I will talk more about this next time, but the paranormal community is what sociologists would call a plausibility structure. It enables belief of certain unconventional concepts to be easily believed. Due to shared assumptions about reality and a common web of beliefs, there is a safe environment for certain concepts to be deemed plausible and firmly believed. Unconsciously. certain beliefs become axiomatic...unassailable. The notion of a residual haunt has attained such status, in my opinion, with virtually everyone in a monolithic consensus; just a few (one, that I'm certain of) in the paranormal community would take exception. The point being, there are psychological and sociological forces at work, which makes my attempt to persuade an especially challenging task. Lest you think my discussion of plausibility structures is a put down (which it is not), the local church should be a plausibility structure...making folks feel safe to believe, in a culture which is becoming increasingly hostile to Christianity. It is simply a sociological perspective. Having blown the whistle on soliciting EVP's, this is a further attempt to help people I care about.
Let us think for a moment about the significant ramifications of this belief. .Even if you jettison intelligent human haunt and poltergeist (as I have argued on here), it is still the belief of many Christian investigators that, over three-fourths of legitimate paranormal or supernatural activity is residual. The inference being that real demonic activity is a small percentage of true supernatural activity. .A moments communion with common sense reveals the crucial role, for good or ill, that this Omni-accepted belief entails. It either has tremendous explanatory power (85% of paranormal phenomena), or Satan has us whipped. The stakes are high and Christians cannot afford to be wrong on this one--too much is at stake. Let me use an analogy to illustrate the latter--Satan has us whipped.. BTW, if you are feeling a negativity in your gut right about now, it may be due to the influence of the plausibility structure. There is reason I mentioned it...
The drug cartels in Mexico and elsewhere take for granted that a certain number of drug shipments coming over our border will get nabbed. In fact, at times they will intentionally send a decoy in order to distract away from a larger shipment. The point being that the cartels are willing to take some losses, as long as the bulk of the drugs is getting across and their profits are running high. Similarly, if all residuals are really demonic, then the vast majority of demons will not be detected during investigations. Even if you do a walk through, quoting scripture, praying, and digital recorders running, that is not going to be sufficient in exposing all demonic activity. If a full cleansing (commanding in Jesus's name any demons present to leave) is not done, then we have no biblical warrant to expect demons (especially stronger ones) to make their true identity known. Sure, the reading of the bible and prayer is irritating and painful, but all they have to do is ride it out...as long as they are not commanded in the name of Jesus to leave. The demon knows in advance that all it has to do is either shut up entirely or play-act as an imprinted memory, and they will be left alone. It is not uncommon for a demonically active location, to suddenly become very quiet when we come snooping around. Time is different for them...they can hide in a crawl space for weeks until the threat is over. Like the cartel ,they know a certain number of detections or losses are inevitable, but as long as the majority of demons are identified as residual, then they are home free.
Since 85% of this demonic activity is presupposed by investigators to be residual in nature, they can afford a few losses; the majority are slipping past and the human profit (carnage) is high. If demonic activity is relatively rare, then why are so many investigators having "visitors".? Because Ed Warren tended to "search the cars for drugs" via biblical provocation, his educated analysis was that about 50% of paranormal activity was demonic; when biblically provoked, the seeming non-interactive entity or activity suddenly became quite interactive! We need to ask: why was his percentage so much higher than ours today? As we'll see next time, could it be that we have unconsciously become methodological naturalists?
Christian, what is your text for residual haunt? Okay, then I plead with you to really listen. I know the bible is not primarily a science text book, and many wonderful discoveries have been made that are not mentioned in the bible.(when it does touch on matters relating to history or science, the bible speaks truth; the full inerrancy of scripture) Before we talk science, I want to make two comments. First, as with any area of life, longevity can work against you... if bad habits or beliefs have been reinforced over long period. The longer you believe in residual haunts, the more it will affect your perception of the data. As Michal Polanyi pointed out, there is a tacit dimension to scientific observation. If you presuppose that 85% of paranormal phenomena is residual, it HAS to affect your perception of paranormal data. None of us is a tabula rasa...a totally clean slate, devoid of any subjective influences. You will "find" evidence to support what you already believe. We see reality through our worldviews; the key is to examine our deepest assumptions and make sure they are really true.
Which brings me to my second comment, what are your criteria for identifying a residual.? Think of the parallel with the criteria for determining a demonic haunt, assuming for arguments sake, there are four types of hauntings. Both are beset with copious amounts of subjectivity; which can sometimes lead to making snap judgment calls. Are there not certain phenomena you automatically assume are residual.? Why don't you forcefully and persistently command that residual, in the name of Jesus, to leave-- biblically provoking to identifying itself is problematic--and see what happens. I'll come back to this. The stark reality is that there is wildly divergent ideas of identifying residual. Think of what you would quickly assume is residual...footsteps...a voice that does not answer your question...an apparition going through an old door...an infant cry. If Satan and demons can mimic and morph into any shape they wish (angel of light principle 2 Cor.11:14), then why not deceive by pretending to be non-responsive? What you clearly see as residual, I clearly see as demonic. Unless you biblically provoke or cleanse the house, what prevents that demon from fooling you.? Are we so naive to think that they would not pull that kind of stunt.? Are they not capable of playing "re-enactment" at Gettysburg when humans do it all the time?...My first visual supernatural experience was in a Revolutionary War battlefield in my hometown. It was a shadow figure in full military garb.. Before it floated off, it stared at me...it was very much intelligent!.
This is warfare friends, and as George Washington showed us, deception via fakery is crucial for success. Given what I know about demons from the bible, there is not a single residual encounter you have allegedly had that they are not capable of mimicking Do you ever think about that.? .PLEASE...do not ever under-estimate the power of demons to deceive, and that is precisely what the hypothesis of residuals does, in my opinion. If you say you know it is not intelligent because you don't observe any intelligence, then you are guilty of circular reasoning. Demons are masters at gibberish. Even in a situation where I was actually speaking to a demon in a possessed person (please don't do that), it spoke a lot of gibberish, so much so, if an investigator heard a recording of it, most, I think, would assume it was residual. It did the same with my cell...moronic stuff. which didn't make a lick of sense. So, I have a precedent for an unmistakably intelligent entity speaking in a manner that MADE NO SENSE. It was intentional unintelligibility or non-intelligent. As I'm typing, demonic sounds were just heard in my house...Satan hates my deception exposure regarding residual--I have never been attacked like these last few days as I worked on this. and doing this can be lonely and dangerous.
What concerns me is the intensity or tenacity of belief in residuals, in light of the paucity of scientific evidence. Thus far, no scientist has proposed a mechanism for this theory...no mechanical explanation. The kind of energy needed and the means by which the "playback" is triggered are both unknown, which renders this theory untestable. An untestable theory is not science. Merely giving an analogy does not scientifically explain it. In fact, they raise more questions, than answers. Think of the standard digital recorder analogy, and how much engineering effort and intelligence was needed to construct something that would collect and play back sounds...the intricate work to collect information. All proposed theories, like water memory, are not even close to explaining how a traumatic event can deposit energy in a memory absorbing substance. As science and scientists are becoming increasingly wed to a New Age paradigm, there will no doubt be efforts to explain it via a monistic multiverse....energy is ultimate reality. This is not an option for us, as believers in the Logos. If you say something often enough, even the most preposterous notion will sound rational. Strictly speaking, this is not even a paranormal event, if we take the theory at face value. Assuming it is true for augments sake, it is simply a normal event (albeit bizarre natural event)...like other bizarre occurrences in nature. It should then be explainable scientifically.
Consider this: the vast majority of traumatic events do NOT eventuate in a residual haunt. It would be difficult, but just contacting the police and checking through their daily logs will prove my point. If a theory does not hold true for most cases, then it is not science. Think of all the tragic things that occur everyday in your hometown:; why don't they leave an imprint that is verifiable?/ I admit there are a lot of seeming residuals, but again most traumatic events don't imprint. If they don't show it, then please don't say they are invisibly imprinted. How is one event "chosen" over another, or many others?...Who or what is making that decision? What is the equivalent of the finger on the recorder?...what triggers a "playback"? Often it is said an anniversary will cause a residual to trigger.. How can an anniversary trigger anything when it has no ontological status? it has no being...it is merely a date...Folks speak so confidently about a prison or insane asylum being filled with bad energy....all the trauma. We have to face the fact that one second after a murder takes place, it is history. The soul passes into eternity, and there are no trauma energy clusters. It is stretching the limits of plausibility to think of a traumatic death causing energy to be absorbed in the surrounding environment....but to go further and say that these non-intelligent energy clusters, somehow cause a visual or auditory "playback" is downright absurd. A non-intelligent cluster of energy lies dormant, it somehow summons itself out of slumber, then displays a verifiable activity which no inanimate object could do, and then it melts back down into its energy den to take a nap, a year later it summons itself up...and on and on. NO!
At the heart of this is energy...energy which allegedly gets trapped. The paranormal community. will often appeal to the first law of thermodynamics in its explanation of ghost formation...energy is neither created nor destroyed. Fine. think about the second law. I remind you that the laws of thermodynamics are absolute. These laws of nature (of God) extend across the spectrum with no known exceptions.(black hole arguing is a black hole). This law of entropy says that, once an energy cluster is released from its container, it will dissipate. until equilibrium is reached (3rd law)..unless it is altered by an outside source.
The point is this: even if there was a phenomena of energy dispersion from a traumatic event to surrounding environment, that energy would immediately begin to disperse in all directions. The idea of energy imprinting is oxymoronic. Putting those two words (or realities) together...juxtaposing them, is massively contradictory, because it breaks an absolute law of God in nature. Energy cannot penetrate something and just sit all clustered together, waiting to be resuscitated. IF....if energy flew out during a traumatic event, then it would disperse until equilibrium was reached. There is no outside force holding them together like super-glue. When you put a few drops of food coloring in a clear glass of water. What happens?...After a few minutes it will have spread out in every direction...changing the color of the water. In like fashion, that is what energy does when a cluster of it is released into environment. I read an academic paper by a parapsychologist regarding the theory of ghost formation and he said that this phenomenon mysteriously circumvented he second law of thermodynamics. I realize he's talking about ghost formation, but it is a parallel to energy imprint formation. .My guess is he would say the second law was circumvented here as well. It is interesting to me that a parapsychologist would recognize this serious problem, but circumvented is not the right word. Ghost formation doesn't just go around entropy, it clearly CONTRADICTS IT.....and that is generally called a miracle. The law of entropy would have to be broken for energy imprinting to occur. It would take an intelligent and powerful force to keep these trauma cells together.
If it walks like a duck...Is it not troubling that these residuals often look, sound, and smell just like their living demonic counterparts, except they don't appear to be aware of your presence?...Is Satan not capable of milking this concept for all its worth, and assigning many demons to act as if they were not intelligent? I have seen how many teams make the incredibly significant determination that something is residual, and it is scarily subjective and arbitrary; little methodical analysis regarding making sure it is truly non-intelligent. Because, from all their years of experience, they "have learned how to spot it". Really? Are WE that intelligent?
God-like....that is the word that comes to mind when thinking "who has the ability to definitively determine if someone possesses intelligence?." The mere fact that someone is paying you no mind, is not sufficient reason in itself to dismiss it as non-intelligent. It just seems odd to me that God would create situations where that terrible burden is put on our backs. I guess I see this judgment call in a different light.
The way some folks talk it would appear that a traumatic mode of death has some kind of living reality attached to it. Please don't take this as being insensitive, but once a person dies a traumatic death that is a fact of history one second later. Neither history nor the adjective "traumatic" can cause anything, because they are a no-thing; they don't have ontological status either--just like an anniversary doesn't. A non-intelligent entity will not recognize an anniversary. The mechanism is MIA....just as it is in macro-evolution...
Of course, the client is the one who most needs for you to be right on this topic. If I am right, think of the many thousands of clients who have been dreadfully misled. You owe it to them to put your pride on the shelf and think this through honestly..
It is so like Satan to make the vast majority of "hauntings" appear to be innocuous. The one indisputable fact is that he has the ability to mimic what we call residuals (I think he is working to find the New Age science to support the notion). As a Christian, the final concern is the glory of our heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ. Again, if residual haunt is fiction, then God is being robbed of much glory, and people are being put in serious jeopardy.
I will say it again, if you have a suitably trained clergy or demonologist. then biblically provoke and cleanse the purported residuals and see what happens. This is a verifiable and falsifiable theory. But if you try it be VERY careful because you are dealing with a determined, deceitful, and wicked demon, and depending on its strength, it might take some persistence. I gave this alternative because I didn't want to merely analyze residuals , but also give you something you can do. Truly, the best approach, from a biblical perspective, would be to cleanse every house you find, paranormal activity in...and to do it as quickly as is feasibly possible. Finally, it is not my intent to offend, but to search for the truth.
Soli Deo Gloria! Mark
